Somali referee Omar Artan returned home to a hero's welcome in Mogadishu on Wednesday after being denied entry to the United States at Miami International Airport over unspecified vetting concerns. Artan had been set to become the first referee from Somalia to officiate at a World Cup after making FIFA's final list, but was subsequently cut from the tournament following the entry refusal.
